I spent the best part of twenty years in the trenches of British B2B sales and marketing. As an employee, as a business owner, and as a consultant, I worked with small and medium-sized businesses across a range of industries. I saw the same problem, over and over again: brilliant businesses losing ground not because their product was wrong or their people were poor, but because they simply did not have enough hands on deck.
The quotes that never got chased. The leads that went cold while someone was on the tools. The invoices that sat unpaid for weeks because nobody had time to follow up. The new starter who spent their first month figuring out where everything was because nobody had time to show them.
I know this world from the inside. I have lived it.
Then AI changed everything and I jumped in with both feet
When the latest generation of AI tools arrived, I recognised immediately what they could do for businesses like the ones I had spent my career working with. I did not dabble. I committed. I built a custom sales intelligence platform for a B2B industrial business with a complex, high-volume pipeline. The right call, to the right customer, at the right moment. What used to take an experienced sales manager an hour to work out each morning now takes seconds.
